Clementine is a director, writer, cinematographer, and editor born and raised in New Jersey, currently based in Brooklyn, New York. She was named one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film by Filmmaker Magazine in 2024. Clementine was also one of the 2024 recipients of the New Voices Filmmaker Grant, a new initiative from NewFest in Partnership with Netflix. With this grant, she produced her upcoming short film, "Kill The DJ," an Afro-surrealist horror film and love letter to queer nightlife culture. Clementine is a 2025 graduate of the BFA Film Program at the School of Visual Arts. Her short films have gained over 100k views across platforms. As a transgender woman of color, Clementine’s work primarily centers around themes of black queerness and femininity under a strong genre lens.
